On the 2nd and 3rd December I spent two days with Laurent Coq, Karl Jannuska and Yoni Zelnik at Studio La Buissonne in Pernes-les-Fontaines to record my new album. It was a great session, masterfully recorded by Gerard de Haro and Nicolas Baillard. I am really looking forward to the release of this record (on the PJU label) and hopefully it will be out in March/April. But first it will go through the post-production finishing touches in NYC with a mixing/mastering session by Katsuhiko Naito. Keep checking this site for samples from this session. This recording was made possible by generous grants from The Malta Arts Fund and the Janatha Stubbs Foundation.

WHITE RUSSIAN 5tet will be playing at Radio France (Studio Charles Trenet) in a double-bill with DIego Imbert on the 5th February 2011. The show will be broadcasted on “Jazz Sur Le Vif” presented by Xavier Prevost.

Paris Jazz Underground’s tour in Brazil was a great success. We did 6 nice concerts and a couple of masterclasses in Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Itajai, Sao Jose dos Campos and Recife. I would like to thank the Brazilian people for being such a wonderful audience and IRACEMA, WMP, Spedidam, Adami, Sacem and CultureFrance for making this tour possible.
